Debate Structure
- Debate opens with the affirmative team (the team that supports the resolution) presenting an argument - 3 min
- The opposing team then follows by presenting an arguments. - 3 min
- Repeat for second argument. - 3 min each.
- A short break in which the teams prepare their rebuttals to the two arguments that have been presented. 8 min
- First rebuttal of the affirmative team - 3 min
- First rebuttal of the opposing team. - 3 min
- Repeat for second rebuttal. - 3 min each
- Closing remarks: first for the affirmative team and second for the opposing team. - 3 min
